I'm fully aware of the criticisms of MBTI but I find it really useful as a reflection tool... I'm nearly always an INFJ and the descriptors definitely resonate... But I also like the sites that give you the percentages you have on each dimension,and you can then compare where you do change every year or so and think about why 🥰
Thanks Sarah, I appreciate your honest response on how you like MBTI. Can I ask, have you ever had a professional de-brief on any psychometrics or has it been you just reading your own reports?
Not for MBTI, but have done with the Insights Discovery colours which was administered by HR professional with coaching. It's similar in some ways I guess, as my classification on that is a helping supporter with predominantly earth green energy, which is placed on the introverted and feeling quadrant of the wheel... I had the test administered a second time about three years after the first and I was pretty much the same.
Oh and the other one that has been done via HR is the Belbin team roles which was also scored by coeagues rather than just self scoring, so that was really cool to be judged as a team worker and plant 🥰
